TJAB establish a fully integrated drug discovery and development facility as one of the key components of Key State Project of Innovative Drugs. The facility is composed of 4 core technical platforms in TJAB R&D building and 7 supporting technology platforms through extensive collaborations with academic and industrial entities in Tianjin. TJAB offers fully integrated “one-stop” service with each supporting platforms having representative office at TJAB R&D building.
Core technical platforms consist of drug discovery, R&D information management, pharmaceutical analysis & testing, and biopharmaceutical pilot plant. Chenxing Chenshan (Shanghai) Venture Capital has been chosen through an open bidding process to manage and operate the platforms of pharmaceutical analysis & testing and biopharmaceutical pilot plant. Currently the other two platforms are under construction.
7 supporting technical platforms consist of lead identification & optimization platform in collaboration with WUXIAPPTEC(Tianjin) Co., Ltd., process development platform in collaboration with Tianjin University, API process development & manufacturing platform in collaboration with Asymchem Life Science (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., formulation development & drug product manufacturing platform in collaboration with Tianjin Pharmaceutical Group， traditional Chinese medicine research & development Platform in collaboration with Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, pre-clinical research platform in collaboration with Tianjin Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, and clinical trial  platform in collaboration with Fountain (Tianjin) Medical Development LTD. Up to now, all supporting platforms have been fully operation, are being through internal resources optimization and consolidation to achieve a fully integrated platform accordingly.
TJAB build up a state of art drug discovery and development technology system with aim to provide the best facility and service to the excellent oversea talents to develop, eventually commercialize their projects; enable Tianjin Binhai New Area as the most important cluster of biomedical innovation and commercialization in China.
